One of the things that most people get tripped up on or even put off by is where to start in their journey on how to lose weight. I know that this can be a problem because it was a problem for me as well. Some of weight loss products and diets out there can be confusing and even put you off from even starting your journey. Knowing where to start is the hardest part and then its the actual getting started that I believe is the next hardest part in beginning your weight loss journey. I hope you come to this site often so that we can discuss some of the things that are helping me in my weight loss journey and I can help you as well.

I remember many times when I have become tired of looking for a way to get myself in better shape I was overwhelmed at what I thought I was going to have to do to achieve my goals. I did not know where to look or the first thing to get motivated. Sometimes I was satisfied with coming home and just sitting on the couch and relaxing and trying to ignore the fact that being lazy is terrible for me and not any where close to how to lose weight fast.

How to lose weight fast- Motivation

Now, this is your main step in how to lose weight fast. I can not tell you how many people cant get this first step down and totally miss this. If you do not have this step then you are destined to fail. You may succeed for a while, possibly a few days, a week or two or even a couple of months, but in the long run you do not have anything at all to keep you going.

It is not enough to say to yourself, “I want to lose weight”. Ok, so you want to lose some weight. That is just a bunch of words strung together and you are fooling yourself to believe telling yourself that will get you to that goal.

If you want to really lose weight or your fitness goals you have to combine your words with a reason. Yes, I said a reason. Let me explain to you what I mean.

If I have a reason to lose weight then it gives my goal pow er and a destination. It also gives my mind something to look forward to as well as a motivational factor to keep me going when those days are hard and I want to quit. Your reason somedays will be the only way you are able to push yourself to get off the couch, to eat right, or to not quit.

Here are some of my  examples of motivational statements and reasons that may inspire you to come  up with your own reasons or you may even use one of mine if you want.

  • I want to be an example for my children
  • I want to feel sexy
  • I want to be able to play with my kids
  • I want to fit into those new jeans
  • I want to feel confident in myself
  • I want to live longer
  • I want to look at myself in the mirror and feel great about myself.
  • I want to prove to others I can
  • Im tired of being this way, feeling like this, looking like this

I know that this is just a few reasons that someone may choose to get them motivated and some of these reasons are generic and broad. I want you to come up with a reason that is your own. I want you to think hard and really ponder what it is that you want to accomplish. You are going to have times that you do not feel like reaching your goal. You will have times that you want to give up and jus forget that you even started this journey. When those times come I want you to think about this reason, I want you to get up and look yourself in the mirror and tell yourself that you CAN and WILL reach your goal. You will because you deserve it. You can because you have a reason and you ARE a success.

How to Lose Weight Fast- Getting Started:

I hope now that you have your reason for wanting to get in shape or lose weight you can focus on that to help get you through. Your reason may not be as big and drastic as some other people’s reasons but that is ok, because we want that reason specifically tailored to you to keep YOU motivated and successful.

Getting started is the hardest part. It is a day by day process. Sometimes it is so difficult to just get up and go to the gym, walk on a treadmill or even not go throught the fridge late at night. This is something we have to take control of in our minds. We must first start with the reason we developed and burn that reason into our thoughts and actions each day. We need to reapeat that reason and tell ourselves why we are doing this.

We need to stand in front of the mirrior and tell ourselves ,”We can do this, we will do this and we are worth it.” We are not creatures that are meant to have failure. We are made or evolved to be a success otherwise we would have died out generations ago.

You can do this. You can do anything that you want and desire to obtain. Remember that knowing how to lose weight fast is not something that you can just do once and forget. It is something that you must continue to practice each and everyday.
